Configure OE to Send and Receive AOL mail

Does anybody use OE for their AOL mail?...I have been fine in recieving but I just cannot send?...

Is this common and is there anybody who will be kind enough to post their outward settings should they have been successful in doing it..driving me mad!!

 

No jokes about AOL being c**p etc though..I cannot get Cable and although it's their line I use it's much more reliable that BT....I am proof!  8-)

Try this, click on tools, accounts,mail, your mail account, properties, servers, tick box marked "my server requires authentication".

Thanks mattie....thats just a little bit of it though....I need to know the ports etc as AOL and the OE sites say different.

That was ticked after my playing yet OE still gave a connect error.....plus OE is imap rather than pop3 which adds on to OE.........Confused!
