Hi!
Today I went to a wifi hotspot to download a book to my kindle. It totally froze and then the book I was reading 10 minutes before disappeared. So in my impatience to read this book tonight (I don't have wifi at home) I connected my kindle to my laptop....I have managed to get my one book back but the rest have disappeared :(
My question is...if I get online via wifi will they all come back?! They are all sitting on amazon and I have clicked to get them resent? I'm worried I have totally broken my wee kindle :( xx

Very helpful answer, dotty. (I have the Sony, far superior to the Kobo).

I suggest you switch your Kindle off, switch it on again, then connect to wifi and try to download your books.

should have bought the Kobo, far superior and not tied to amazon.

No idea! Sorry. Got the shock of my life a few weeks ago when my Kindle started talking to me. Hope you get your books back. Know books can be stored on Kindle.
Oh dear I've never had that happen and I download mine via wifi all the time. Worst case scenario is you'll just have to grab them back. Amazon helpdesk is very good................

Thanks guys :)
It was a present dotty ;)

From what I have read I think I'm best to connect to wifi and wait on the books being sent back :) not too bad x
