skype!! any advice on how to skype a friend, i can see her+hear her voice...

Do you have speakers & Mic, or a headset with mic & earphone?

Are any of these usb?

Are they on? Are the drivers installed?

Sorry ed for not getting back to you, been a bit busy.
As for the questions. before i try to answer. I have to tell you, i have used skype many times in two years. So why cant i use it now?
I have headphones and an earphone. drivers?

I only ask because my headset has a handy "mute" button. This turns on a red light so you know when it's on mute. Sadly the LED stopped working so when I had a similar "mic" problem it was because the headphone had been muted, but there was no indication!

Does anyone else find that Skype is echoish (!) and lip sync is all out. I hate using it.
