Shape of screens on computers
7 Answers
i am thinking of getting another computer as the one I have is 5 years old and is going slow. However I looked at the models in John Lewis today and all the screens seem very wide. My screen is approx 12" x 10", almost square shaped which I like. Dont they make this shape anymore? I dont want a laptop, just a computer with the stand.

If you have a modern T/V you will have no trouble in setting it up with a VGA lead.

More and more things on computer are becoming widescreen (movies, videos, digital pictures etc) so it would be VERY short sighted to buy a non widescreen monitor.
As we all begin to watch more and more TV on our computer (with BBC iPlayer etc) a widescreen monitor is a must.
Even if you dont watch a lot of TV on your computer now you may in the future.
Go for a widescreen monitor.
