Should you know if there's cameras around ?

I know drivers should be made aware when there's a speed camera (being yellow, lines in the road) but does the same apply to cameras on bus lanes ?
My other 'alf's been "done" for driving in a bus lane when the main road was closed due to an accident. There was one diversion sign but no more & we drove about for around 30 mins trying to get to the other side of the accident. Ended up going thru' town where there was a single lane across a bridge which is now a bus lane. Didn't see the camera, & no signage to say it was there.
Do we stand any chance of it being revoked when we appeal ?

A friend of mine went the wrong way down a one way street (for which the signage was obscured by a builders scaffolding ).The resulting collision with another car was deemed to be not her fault as her car was stopped when the other car hit her car.

The only signage was in the road - where it said "bus lane". Nothing about cameras :o(
Trouble was, we were so fed up by that time, we wanted to get the other side of the bridge & knew no other way (as I said, diversion signs were non existant after the 1st one pointing the opposite direction we wanted to go !), we, errr, "went for it" :o(

Newbury recently changed a single lane bridge to a bus lane ,trouble is this was closed for a year and the sign saying bus lane was half hidden by shrubbery and once you got on the bridge and saw it clearly you couldnt turn round and go back so you got fined.Still I suppose it went towards the centre's refurb that was long overdue.
