how do I play a disc with the extension divx.avi on my dvd player please? (downloaded with utorrent) Plays fine in windows media player but won't play in dvd player for some reason. Why? do I need to download a video convertor? Am running windows 7 pro. dvd player IS NOT DIGITAL but plays all of my original dvd,s, and copied dvd's ok. Can't understand why it wont play?
Can anyone help please? Still got original file on utorrent.

your dvd player has to be divx enabled,
it all depends on the make of your player. if its got the divx on it it will play without any adjustment to it
all my dvd players have had this on
check the manual or menu on the player

You have an analogue DVD player?!?!?

Just connect a laptop to the TV, far easier.

The answer is exactly the same as the one I gave you previously. You need to convert the file to DVD format. Windows DVD Maker should do it for you. You can find it in C:\Program Files\DVD Maker

Have you already tried that on the other film? Or is this the same one?

Hi Again, this doesnt work. All I have on my dvd player is a screen with icons thus 0 ROOT
1 VIDEO
at the top of the screen I have SmartNavi at the bottom I have 'enter' with two arrows,one up one down?????
