IE explorer has updated against my will and I now have IE9. The File, Edit etc buttons are below the address bar which is very annoying; I have tried clicking and dragging which doesn't work and followed chucks instructions (here http:// www.the answerb .../Que stion63 5160.ht ml) for the last time this happened to me when using IE7 but put ITBar9 instead of 7 but couldn't get it to work, any ideas are much appreciated.

There are too many people stuck on old browsers, causing problems for companies to support so many differnet browsers on web sites. By upgrading people to IE9 it makes life easier for web designers.
Anyway, recent browsers are more secure than older browsers.

You could move it in the beta, they disabled the ability to do it for the final release.
As far as I'm aware nothing you can do about it now. Though I admit it seems a daft idea, not because the change is a problem as such, but it now takes an extra line up on the screen..
I turn it off and just tap alt to enable it briefly if I need anything on the menus now.

No doubt that company will lose custom and rightfully so.
i don't see there is much of an issue, if folk don't choose to upgrade and eventually get problems that should be their choice. No one forces websites to cater for everything. Last few stardards should be fine.
Errr ... never tried to roll back the upgrade, maybe the system restore facility ?
