Vivitar camera, How to unlock the pictures

I locked the pictures on my Vivitar 9126 compact camera so they wouldn't get accidently deleted. Have downloaded them on to my pc, but can't delete them from the camera.

Did you flick the lock switch on the SD card?

You need to unlock them first.

Try going into the "lock" process and if you select lock again it will probably offer to unlock.

Other option is to format the card, that gets rid of everything.

You should format the card regularly anyway - in the camera.
Every time you replace it to the camera.
In the menu there is probably a spanner type icon. Format Card will be there. It may also be in the camera memory so Format that also.
