Kodak 3200 series Out of Colour can I use just Black 4 now

I have just run out of colour ,The item I want to print is in Black type each time I try it tell me the colour needs replacing ,is there a way I can use just Black .BTW I have checked the black in the printing box but it still insists I need colour. .
I just tried a site which says it is Kodak and they want £21.00 for the answer.

scroll down on this link and you will see that apparently a small amount of coloured ink is needed even for a black and white copy apparently.
