new laptop (with voice recording capability)

I'm wanting to get a new laptop. Up to £500 (I hope). The particular spec I need is recording voiceover type things. I'm pretty sure I'll use it in conjunction with a Yeti (blue) usb microphone. Otherwise use for emails, watching movies. Maybe editing some movies.What would people recommend? Thanks

to be honest most laptops at that provce range are ok, look for thing sthat will make it comfatable to use, do you like trackpads? full size keyboard, screen size. ram can be a factor with large files but doubt you would get that issue with audio.
if you keep the laptop cool the fan should stay running slow , but they all can run noisely if they need to.
go to comet or pcworld have a good play then google for better price.
