hi i have just recently set up an outlook express email account

and want to change the name that appears on top

at the moment id just has my name and a number

i.e fred61@.........................

and i want it to say "fred - my company name"

so when i send an email to a customer / supplier they know who i am straight away

Change the name under "user information" in the account settings...

The rest of it you can't change unless you create another email address (for the part before the @) or buy a domain name (for the part after the @)

i am struggling to find the term "user information"

its probably me not looking properly!

Click tools > accounts, select the mail account and click properties then it's on the general tab.
