Internet Opening Page
6 Answers
I normally have Google as my Internet opening page. However after buying a Tomtom and registering on their site, their web site has now planted itself as my opening page which I do not want.
So, into Tools / Internet options and remove tomtom and putting Google again as defaul it ok, but lo-and-behold, the next time my computer is swithced on, Tomtom is there again as my opening page even tho in the Tools / internet options box it shows Google as my default page. Any ideas please. ?
Thanx

Or take a look at what starts on set-up and try to remove any tom tom application. There are things you can download to look at start up settings. A good start would be to simply look in the all programs/startup folder.
Failing that you need an ap to stop malware from changing your home page. Not sure what does that now but a web search could help.
Failing that try running malwarebytes. I'd suspect it might spot the offending software and do something about it.

Just checked... if you do want to keep the tool bar (really can't understand why you'd want to...)
There is a little tiny arrow just to the right on the words TomTom GPS on the far left of the toolbar, click on that and the bottom option is toolbar options.... somewhere in there will be a setting about your homepage.
Though I'd just remvoe the whole thing through the control panel.
