How to connect t.v, console and Hi-fi

Hi

Got this problem and I need a quick solution. I have made some music on my games console and I want to get it recorded on tape, but I cant seem to find the right leads to hook up the t.v to the hi-fi and to the playstation 1. Im wondering if anyone out there knows how to connect the three together so I can make this recording sucessful without any faults in the sound transmission.

You just need to connect your PS1 to the hi-fi. If memory serves (daren't disturb the ladies of the house who are watching the TV) the PS1 has audio outputs that have "phono" style connectors.

Just connect these to you hi-fi's input (probably also "phono" style) and set the hi-fi's source to whichever input you have used (most only tend to have one or two inputs). Tape as normal. You can get suitable leads from most "pound" shops.

Does the PS1 have phono outputs?  I'm not sure, but I think it didn't...  In which case what you'll need is a cable like the one supplied with the PS2 which splits the signal from the playstation into video(yellow phono), left audio (white phono), and right audio (red phono).  Then (as LeMarchand said), all you have to do is plug the audio phonos directly into your hifi.  The yellow cable will plug into either: a phono video input on your tv/video, or a phono to scart adapter pluged into a scart socket at the back of your TV.

If its a PS2 then the three leads that come out of it and go to the scart socket need seperating off so that the red and white phono sockets can be connected to your hifi / cdplayer input /aux input on your stereo.
