PS - "normal": you should install something like Microsoft Security Essentials or Avast (which I have). Both are free. These are always running in the background. Malwarebytes isn't: you switch it on and run a scan once a week or so.

Errm....

Malwarebytes

Yes it is free, make sure you decline the offer of the paid version during the setup though (you actually have to click decline)

It's also not a replacement for anti-virus, you use it as well as your norrmal anti-virus

(and it's lapse)

Thanks `Chucky`, (pardon my spelling) but had to close down a paid for version whilst I downloaded another app, and had a memory hic-cup, and have been trying to remember it for four days. I`m not as young as you young sprites, but now I`m on the subject, why do you and others always suggest `the free version` when the `pro` version gives us more? Would it be advisable to change to the free one now after paying £19.95 in the past?

jno: I also run MSE./ Malwarebytes together.
that's fine, you sound fully covered. Just remember to run a Malwarebytes scan every so often (it only takes 5 minutes or so for a standard scan).
