Humax PVR-9150T
3 Answers
we have had this a couple of years and it has been very good but it began freezing up awhile ago, (usually when there is something I need to record of course)this lasts for about 48hours then back it comes. We have tried switching it off and on, and disconnecting it altogether to no avail. We were hoping it would right itself after our switchover in the north east last week but it is still happening. Luckily we still have the analogue channels (apart from BBC 2) but has anyone any ideas please or do we have to buy a new PVR, if so, which one, as I thought Humax was one of the best.Maybe two years is par for the course? :0( TIA rosy

If I don't turn it off and on again at regular intervals it slowly loses things it can do. (Updating the schedule pages being the first.) Maybe you have a similar issue when leaving yours on ? That said if it has been good for years, not sure what to suggest. Could be a fault developed, or maybe it updated the software over the airwaves and developed a bug ?
Our first Humax lasted about that time, Rosy. Started with occasional hard disk failures, then freezing (which corrected itself after disconnect/reconnect), then finally complete failure. Tried another make, but less easy than the Humax, so we're on our second Humax which is now in its third year without problem.
