My laptop, running Vista, is no longer able to recognise my phone (HTC Wildfire) when connecting via USB cable.
I can locate it in Windows Explorer as a 'removable disk' drive, but when I try to open the drive, I'm asked to insert a disk!
Any ideas why this has changed and what I need to do to start transferring photos from my phone to my laptop again?

many thanks,
