iCloud email problems

I've got a iPod and I've done the usual sign up to iCloud with an apple I'd.

Now I was getting emails from the me.com email address that I got from signing up on my ipod. Now I've just recently bought an iPhone and I used me apple id account on the iPhone do I could get all my pictures and apps on my phone.

I've deleted the me.com email address off my iPod as it's now for the kids and I wanted them to have the apps but not access my emails.
Now my phone is showing me a screen with my apple Id and also the me.com address and a new iCloud.com address. But there's no way to retrieve the emails anymore.

Help.
