Camera eating batteries??
20 Answers
was using rechargeable batteries for my camera- found that I was only getting a few shots before they ran out. I thought it was an issue with the rechargeables but I've just put in a set of extra power kodak batteries , taken about 30 shots - no zoom but did use flash - and the batteries are dead again - any ideas?

Tonight I put in Kodak Supralife batteries - took about 30 shots indoors brightly lit room but flash was on - didn't use zoom and didn't play back the shots.

Google refuses to accept that there are Kodak batteries actually labelled 'Extra Power'.
If you're using Kodak's 'Extra Heavy Duty' batteries, they're only Zinc Chloride so they're totally unsuitable for digital cameras.
If they're actually labelled 'Kodak Supralife' then they're alkaline batteries, which is at least a bit better.
However, from experience, I'd never use anything other than Lithium batteries in a digital camera. (I was also getting very few shots from both rechargeable and alkaline batteries but lithium batteries just seem to go on and on for an incredibly long time).
