Ok so its upgrade time tomorrow.
I want to get either the Iphone 5 or the Samsung SIII.
But i am completely torn and cant decide...so please give me your opinions on either of these (if you own one).
Obviously there will be some biased opinions, but if you can give just an honest opinion on why you like the phone and what you wish could be better about it maybe.

Thanks :)

I like any phone that doesn't depend on the touch screen and allows me to make calls and texts without the added frustration of that nonsense. Altouhg I've no experience in the two you refer to, I suspect I'd avoid both like the plague.

Ok...Old Geezer thats not really constructive at all but thanks anyway.
It's constructive if it encourages you to go find something better.
I've got a Samsung S2 - I think it's very good indeed. Not just as a smartphone, but also the quality of the phone reception is better than any other phone I've ever tried.

As to the iPhone/Android debate there is good and bad on both sides - I happen to dislike the 'nanny state' approach of Apple and prefer the less regulated (but occasionally more flaky) google market.

The main current issue with the iPhone5 is Apple's daft decision to replace google maps with their own (useless) product - check this out if maps and satnav are important to you.
I have an S3 and went throught the same dilemma in July ..... researched for ages!! Decided on the S3 as heard more good things than for the iPhone, but the iphone5 had not been launched then ......... but if faced with the choice today I would stick with the Samung because I have found it so so easy to use (moved from old Blackberry) and it's really a great phone ..... more and more Android Appd being written - and I have never failed to find an App that suits when needed. I hear teh TV streaming is better on the iPhone but as this doesn't interest me (I barely watch the dust gatherer in the corner of the living room!) then I wouldn't be swayed by that functionality. Hope this helps - what did you/will you get?
iphone4s served well on recent far east tour; photos/vids/Ab contact etc. Automatic wifi was a pleasant surprise. I prefer a sizeable/big screen but had to clip my nails for accurate touch-typing.
I have the S3 and absolutely love it. Agree with Dave on the apple v android issue.
