everytime i put my ipodinto my pc, it automatically reverts all my mp3 files to open in i-tunes. How do I stop this so they just open in windows media player???

During installation you should be able to stop this from happening. There should be a tick box or something. Since it's too late for that, try right clicking on an mp3, then selecting properties. The "open with" button should be there, and then you can select windows media player. After this, open iTunes and it will ask you if you want to make it the default player for audio files. Press no.

Sorry, i've realised that I haven't really answered your question! Yours is more tricky than my answer. I can't think of any reason that your iPod is doing this. I still think it must be something to do with your iTunes. Try what I suggested about making WMP the default for mp3s and see if this helps. Sorry I can't help more!
