Browswer connects ok, but nothing else

I can connect fine via broadband for using a browswer (IE) but nothing else will connect (like games), even though the connection light is on. No program works. Is there a setting I need to change? Thanks

This could be the same problem I had. Did you recently install a Firewall? I was told by my internet provider to unistall it and it work after.
