when i google myself, detail such as address phone no. and even my age on page. can i remove? appears on search page, cites sites like 192.com, 123people, creditgate, checksure.biz, linkdin. my phone no is ex-dir, so annoyed about this.

I don`t think you can do anything about it. Most of the sites get the info from when you fill out your electoral roll form and don`t tick the box which then allows them to share the details with 192.com 123people etc.

We have to be careful- a number of users have the same username on here that they have on other sites and that increases the risk of identification.

I made the mistake of putting my photo on here as my avatar. Then I thought maybe if I put my pic into Google images it might identify me. Fortunately it didn't- it threw up Roberto Mancini and Jose Mourinho but not me. It's a risk though.
