If a forum has stickies, what does that mean?

Posts that stay displayed while others scroll away over time.

On AB the thread is highlighted against a yellow background and 'sticks' at the top of the thread

Often stickies are important posts that should be read first.

They are usually posted by the owners of a forum and may explain the "rules" of using the forum,

Or they may highlight changes that may have taken place on the forum such as you cant post between midnight and 6am (as an example) or you cant post pictures or videos above a certain size.
