I am planning to buy a new TV soon, it will be a Full HD with a Freeview HD tuner.
I record programmes, at the moment, using my Toshiba RD-88DTKB HDD & DVD Video Recorder.
When I get my new set, will programmes recorded in HD play back in HD, or do I need to get a new recorder?

The TV you have has absolutely no bearing or effect on the recorder you have, they are totally separate devices that just happen to connect to each other.

The recorder you have can not receive, play, or record HD.
