I've just downloaded the new version of itunes. Gone to sync my ipod and it's only looking at a library of 50 songs and can't see any of my playlists. I've tried restoring to factory settings and it's still not seeing my whole library of about 3000 songs or any playlist. Any suggestions please? Many thanks

do all your songs not have to be in the main body of the library and not in the playlist only..?..that has been my understanding...
..and does your ipod have sufficient space to take 5ooo songs
sorry 3000..
Go to one of the songs, click on properties and see where it is located on your computer. Then go and make sure that all of the songs are still on your hard drive. However now that you have restored settings you will probably need to reload your playlists.

Thanks for replies so far. All 3000 songs are showing in my library. I have 4 different playlists with around 100 songs in each. When I go to the ipod to try and sync if I click on entire music library it says 50 songs, the playlist column is empty and the artists column has about a dozen artists. On the old itunes it showed all my playlists and all artists. Also if I right click on any of the songs properties isn't one of the options.
Look for a refresh option perhaps. Also check that the library root folder is correct.
