I dont know if its possible to do this but ive scanned a document and need to be able to type something onto it, its an accident report from work and i would rather type it then write it.

I now have the doc on my desktop but no idea where to go from there.

Cheers.

you could save it as a word doc and then add text through a "Text Box" its all a bit messy though.

What format is it in? If it's a pdf you need to convert it to Word. I think there are some free programs on the net. I don't really know webbo but have got others to do it for me at work.
if its a scanned image and not done with optical character recognition then I think you are kind of stuck, sorry. you could add text through a phot editing program or load the scanned document into a word processor as a background and type onto it, but you can't actually edit or add to the text

ill give that try ratter, ty.

can you scan it as tif? if so you can amend that using word and overtype.
Why does a copy of an accident report from work need to be modified? On the face of it, it sounds a bit suspicious.
bibblebub, modified with the answers - nothing suspicious at all.

Far easier to fill it in with a pen. As it is you've scanned a picture in and want to add text. Not easy to get it right.
//Far easier to fill it in with a pen.// Not if you are dyslexic, I would probably do it the same way, depending how much info was required to go onto form.

I want to type it so i can add or amend as i go, it was an accident on the ice skating rink at work a young girls father ran over her finger almost severing it and the mum is looking to apportion blame, she is claiming we refused to call an ambulance which we would never do as we cannot treat injurys like this and she would have needed to go to hospital, so i need to make sure it all reads correctly and makes sense.

anyway i followed ratters advice and have done it now.

Remember, you can always add another typed sheet to it if you need to clarify things even more.
