Kindle Fire/ Adding Credit

I want to buy son a Kindle Fire but dont want to link it to my own bank card for purchases, for obvious reasons! So what are the options?

Can I buy one of those Visa cards you can top up with a set amount and then give that as a present to use for apps etc or can you not link those type of cards to online purchases??

don't bother, get a kobo arc (16GB) and then you canb but WHSmith giftcards in store with cash and he can use them on the Arc to buy ebooks from Kobo's site or WHSmith

and trust me they are brilliant, HD, android ice cream sandwich, straight wifi to you tube, ebay, facebook and also has netflix, i've been playing with it off and on all day at work and it's superb

You can buy an amazon gift voucher.... When you first set up the kindle it gives you an option of adding credit card or a gift voucher code.

with the kindle you can ONLY buy from amazon, with the Kobo you can buy from any ebook site AND borrow library ebooks from your local library's website

In the latest copy of Web User Magazine the Google Nexus 7 is ranked as the best 7" tablet.

The Kobo is very limited in comparison.
