Is it possible to convert a dvd formatted for Region 1 for use in Region 2? Easy? Difficult? Level of expertise needed?

What do you want to play it on? Is it PAL or NTSC?

I'm sorry I have no idea. I have found a dvd on sale ( paid for in dollars) on the internet that I know my husband is interested in seeing.It is for showing in region 1, which is USA & Canada only. As I understand it, we are region 2 My grand-daughters partner has offered to " fix it ", but if it is a very difficult task I thought that I would not proceed. As far as I know we have an ordinary, everyday dvd player.
