If I play a recording from my HD recorder trough my TV, can I record it onto a memory stick that I have inserted into my TV set?

Can you source your recording device to usb ? I take recordings from hard drive to external DVD recorder as I can tune it in accordingly...I can then transfer to stick on pc....don't know about smart tellys or what they can do...

It depends on what the USB Port is for.

Check the TV manual as to what its purpose is.

On some TVs it is only inteded for Uploading new firmware and not recording, whilst others are for Playing USB video files and not recording.

The TV manufactures site is where you may find a manual if you don't have one to hand.
