Replacing An Ipad Screen
4 Answers
I've broken the screen on my iPad 3 and when I googled it I found sites that said you could replace them yourself (or himself in this case). Anyone tried this or is this a particularly bad plan? Thanks.

Well I don't know about anybody else but this looks like a bloody nightmare !
A Heat Gun ? Do you know how hot they can get ? And you have to stick a putty knife into the bloody thing, but not more than a quarter of an inch ?
Ye Gods !
Either pay somebody else to do it, or if that is too expensive, cut your losses and buy a Samsung Galaxy TAB 2 10 inch. Its almost half the price of an Ipad ( like most Apple products, they are way over-priced ) I have the 7 inch version and I have nothing but praise for it. It cost me £128 in TESCO, including a £30 cash back direct from Samsung. I also got a free mini storage card.
Don't get me wrong. I have used iphones for 5 years now and I think they are wonderful. But if I was starting over again now, I would probably use Samsung products.
Bread is on sale everywhere these days...you don't have to go to Harrods Foodhall to get a loaf you know !
