Wireless Router Says Its Out Of Range

My wireless router at home as suddenly stopped working and saying its out of range.
It started when the electic went out all in the house.
I have tried resetting the router but still dosnt work, all the lights appear on the router apart from the WLAN light.
Any ideas on what i can do to fix it.

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.I'm confused by the bit where you wrote "saying its out of range". I can't see how a router can know that it's out of range of anything (or tell you if it is).
Check that there's not a button on the router to switch WLAN on and off. (My router has got one; it's separate to the power button). The problem might be as simple as that!
Otherwise . . .
. . . connect the router to a computer by an ethernet cable. (Poundland sell them if you can't find the one which came with the router). Open your web browser and type 192.168.0.1 into the address bar to access your router's settings. (The default username is 'admin'; the default password will either be 'admin' or just a blank field). Take a look at the settings to see whether WLAN is enabled, whether SSID broadcasting is enabled, and so on.
Check that there's not a button on the router to switch WLAN on and off. (My router has got one; it's separate to the power button). The problem might be as simple as that!

If you pressed the reset button at the rear of the router then you will have most likely wiped the configuration settings, including wireless, and set it back to Factory defaults. If so, depending on the actual model DLink number, wireless may not activate until it is configured to do so.
(I own a DLink DI-624 model and pressing the reset button on that particular unit wipes and deactivates the Wireless, which then requires reconfiguration via a LAN cable)
If that is the case, in order to carry out a reconfiguration to activate wireless you would need to connect the router to your computer via a LAN cable and then either use the DLink Easy Installation configuration program or perform it manually via a Web browser.
