Apple Or Windows

I have now had enough of Mountain Lion on my iMac, used to have Snow Leopard, I find mountain lion all over the place and now of course I seem to have every picture on my iMac appearing in iphoto, this includes pictures of weather channel, google, all the maps of the world, the queen, copies of all my screens, etc, etc, all 1300 them.

Off to look at a windows laptop tomorrow, not sure what windows 8 will be like, but apple goodbye.

So because you've done something by accident, haven't had a suitable reply to remedy the mistake and can't solve it immediately, you're going to change the whole OS? If this had happened in Windows would you now be off looking at Macs?

Not only because of iPhoto, I really do not like mountain lion, my system seems to hang at times and gets the twirling circle appearing, this never happened with snow leopard.

Do you really need Mountain Lion? If not revert back to Snow Leopard. Have you launched Software Update and downloaded any required updates? Is your Mac well above the required minimum specs for Mountain Lion? How much RAM/memory do you have installed?

No I do not need mountain lion snags, it is just that I play cards on an online website that uses java and as you know apple is not keen on java and was blocking at the end of January. I had java 6 with snow leopard and I am not sure if they are still letting you use this version of java. Only answer perhaps is to play on another website which does not use java and reinstall snow leopard with my original discs. How would I do this please.

Really? V. surprised to hear that. Have you run Software Update? (off the Apple logo top left of your screen).

The easiest way is to do an erase/clean install. Before you do anything though, back up all your important software, files, photos, music etc. then have a look at this:

A bit overkill though imo if you're not Mac-savvy. I'd try and resolve your current Mountain Lion problems first.

I have a mac lappy (air) and an imac. Both have mountain lion, neither take exception to java.
