I used to agree very much with jomifl - on many digital cameras the screen was useless in bright sunlight.

Things are much better now as technology has improved & I no longer fret so much about the absence of an optical viewfinder.

That's a real bargain shoota - and a very nice camera.

It's physically quite a bit bigger than the others, so it may depend if fruitsalad wants a pocket camera or not.

Ap it will be used mainly for holiday snaps and pictures of the grandkids really want something easy to use that takes a decent photo
