Compaq Presario Cq-61 Will Not Load Windows
1 Answers
hi
my daughters compaq presario cq-61 was playing up so decided to re-install windows 7 on it. problem is that on start up it says hp battery(internal) needs replacing which i have done( the watch type cr32).
now every time i start to load up windows it will go through the install i.e load the drivers etc but it will then get really hot and just get stuck on the last bit of install. when i try to restart it wont and have to disconnect the power and battery then when i restart it will say it continuing to set up computer but then says there is no windows installed!
i have had to use a different power adapter as original was broken but it powers it ok and before re-install the battery was playing up anyway. it has been getting hot before the re-install but i know the fan still works.
can anyone tell me why i will not complete the install. but i have noticed that the battery is not charging but didnt do that before. but will run on just power cable. nothing looks loose inside and HDD is ok.
thanks for your help
