I thought I could create a DVD of photos/video clips that I have taken with my new Fujifilm digital camera. I have looked through all the instructions etc and whilst I can copy them on to a CD, I can't 'mix' them nicely and put on subtitles. I think I have to get a software upgrade and they want to sting me for 25. Anyone know if there is any free software out there?

I haven't yet explored all the things it can do, but it's worth your while looking at Picasa - Google recently bought the software and offer it as a free download (I expect it will also be on cover disks as well). Certainly, it organises your photos, and enables you to rename in bulk. I've been very pleased with it so far, although I have only used it a bit.

Try Picasa2 - free from Google. I don't think it handles videos but it should do what you want with still images.

Sorry, I should've refreshed the screen then I wouldn't have duplicated cartmelj's reply.

Thanks both. I'll give it a go.
Hi, i think you can try E.M. Free DVD Photo Slideshow.
It is a totally free DVD slideshow maker. Using that one, you can make
a slideshow with background music, text, illustration, narration, etc.
After that, you can burn the slideshow to DVD, VCD, SVCD without any watermark.
