Microsoft Works Word Processor Not Responding

Anyone know why Microsoft Works Word Processor would stop responding.

Last week I did a lot of work on a project I am putting together and although the work comes up when I open the file it just will not let me get into it.

The page goes pale and a blue whirling icon appears to be working as if to open the file but it never does!

Frustrated is an understatement.

Did you get the product on a trial basis. eg with a new computer? Its trial may have expired.

No mosaic I have had it for 3-4 years.

It might be missing an update - usually these happen automatically as you switch your pc off and on. Do you think any updates could be missing?

I don't think so mosaic. I am usually up to date with those.

Any other suggestions?
