Firefox Now Nightly???

Having an extreme amount of trouble with my laptop today so I changed from IE to Firefox for Windows 8, and it has downloaded Nightly (???), but am still on IE, so what is Nightly and how can I get Firefox to be my browser?

I already have firefox, but it was installed for me. Perhaps you could find the link for installation of web browser. You may have to download and entire package!!

I've downloaded it, got nightly, deleted that and still have IE as my browser.

Run Firefox, select Options from the Tools menu, then click on the Advanced tab and in the lower part of that is the button for setting FF as default browser.

You did uninstall Nightly, not just delete it?

Firefox Nightly is a set of FF builds used for testing. No idea how you got to the download page for that originally though. www.mozilla.org is the main site and you acn download the current version from there.
