nungate ... if you're around, I wanted to say thanks ...

On one of Mamya's "night night" threads last week you posted a clip of Madeleine Peyroux singing "Shimmy Like My Sister Kate"

I liked it so much that I've bought some of her CDs.

In fact, err ... I've bought ALL of her CDs.

I just love her style of music, and she has such a good voice. So, thanks for flagging that one up.

she has been around for some time now, i like her voice a lot and have a number of her albums.. i can't remember when i first saw her, possibly on Jools Holland later... but it was at least 4 years ago, she was likened to Billy Holiday...

I think she's fab. Her style of music is just so chilled and jazzy.

i been sitting here racking my brain, what's left of it, where i heard of her first, it might also have been a review in the paper, then one of the stations played one of her songs. lovely voice, as you say jazzy, quite laid back.
and confess that before i saw her i did think she was a black girl..

Well Jayne you have been busy haven't you? I'm so glad you liked the music I posted, I've been busy downloading some of her stuff, I do have some of her cd's but they "disappeared" when we moved a couple of years ago.
All you can do now is just lay back and enjoy!
