Problem Transferring Files (Sd Card)

Right... bear with me. My existing 8gb SD card was full so I decided to buy a new 32gb one for my phone. I wanted to transfer all the files from my 8gb one to the new one and did it by copying and pasting the files on my pc. Now that i've sat and waited on all the files pasting to the new 32gb card it turns out that they're not even showing up on my phone when I insert the card. Someone please tell me what i've done wrong and how I can fix it :)

Please help.... without being over dramatic, this memory card holds my whole life in it's tiny little grasp. I can't be without it! :) Thanks xx

Have you checked that your phone can read a 32gb.

How do you do that? I just assumed any SD card would be alright =s

Have a look in your phone manual it will tell you the maximum size the phone will take.
Don't think phones will take just any size.

Panic over... It is now reading it. Was obviously just taking it's own sweet time! Thank you for answering though :)
