i have had LG flat screen t.v for about 6yrs. it for the first few minuets when switched on the picture jumps and is distorted.it will then settle down. am i being told something? like get saving.

check your connection ,but 5 years is what the tv manufacturers give tv nowadays ,not long i know many last years longer ,but yeh get saving

I would start saving.
The TV we had the sound came on but no picture. Then after a few minutes the picture would come on but was distorted and then after a few minutes would be OK. As time went on the time period between switching on and getting a good picture was getting longer. So we left it one day and checked the electric meter before we went to work and then again when we came home. With only 2p used on the electric in the day we left the TV on for approx 21 months. We used to put it on a radio channel when we went out. We went away for Christmas and turned it off. The picture never came back on when we returned.
But we had saved for the new one.
