When I try to watch a YouTube Vid a box comes up and says 'Shockwave may be busy'. Every week or so adobe tells me to update, when I try it stops after I've clicked 'save file' Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I know exactly what you are saying and almost willing to bet that you will find the file in amongst your downloads and the 'next box' will become evident when you click open the file. Al.

I am thinking that, whilst you are clicking 'Save', you are only downloading the file but failing to 'Run' it and are Not therefore completing the installation. It's my guess that you have actually Saved the file which now needs to be 'Run'.

Have a look in your downloads folder and, if the file is there, click it open and 'Run' it.

Will take a look Al. When I click to update it give instructions . When download box appears click save which I did. When the next box appears click run, only the next box doesn't appear. I hope I've explained it properly.

Thanks Al. All sorted thanks to you.
Cheers. I should have been more positive and placed a bet.!!

Incidentally, It is possible that you also downloaded a trial of McAfee Security when you 'saved' the Adobe file, unless you un-ticked the box which would have been on the Adobe site's download page.

It's something for you to check and, if by chance you have downloaded McAfee, I would suggest that you un-install it.

I did UN tick the box Al. I bought McAffee once it was a real pain. I now have Bullguard with no problems.
Thanks for having given me Best Answer.

You mentioned that you are using Bullguard. I would think that it's far better than McAfee. Next time you need to install Virus Protection you could try MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials ). I use it because it has been recommended by a lot of AB's Techies and it's absolutely free of cost.
