how do send a web site address on email and highlighted so as to just click on the link

I think what you want to do is create a "hyperlink" in your emails that, when a person clicks on it (it's usually blue and underlined) they are directed to the address in the link right?

If so, this is very simple in my experience (though I'm no expert). I believe for this to happen, you have to write your email using HTML format (rather than a plain-text email). There is a setting in most email clients that allows you to switch between one and another. Then it's just a case of typing in the website address. Sometimes it helps to add the "http://" prefix (in applicable cases). Hope that helps.

not really how do i do it if i reply to a question on answerbank

1. Use Internet Explorer
2. Paste a hyperlink into your answer and press Enter
3. Watch as the url turns blue

4. Highlight this blue text and type over it with whatever you want to appear as the clickable link.  It should remain blue.

Stevie21 (and brian), you don't need to use underscores instead of spaces. If you type the text you want all in one go with no spaces (etvoila) and then go back and put the spaces in, the hyperlink stays intact.

et voila (won't work for me 'cos I'm using Firefox!)

Ralph, this is getting more and more and more technical!!

Also, I use Firefox as well for 99% of things. I know that you can't insert links with it but seeing as we're being techie, I've got a plugin for it so that you can right click on a link and "open in IE". That way I can open certain questions here in IE and add formatting.

I do this:

• Right click on the Address Bar/Highlighting it
• Press Copy
• Go to the e-mail you're sending
• Right click on the page
• Press Paste.
