Anyone Recomend A Dvd Recorder, Please?

Can anyone suggest a good simple and reasonably priced DVD recorder/player with a hard drive, which allows me to speed dub items from off the hard drive and on to a DVD disk?

I have a Toshiba which has dvd, hard disk and vhs in it.

Occasionally when dubbing from hard disk to dvd it will do it in real time - but that is because its been recorded at the wrong setting (equivalent to long play on vhs recorders)

I have an LG (can't recall model # but its about a year old) and I would recommend avoiding it if it crops up

I find it slow to respond and temperamental
