Why Is This Happening?

I have to record some sentences for my OU French course. I bought a headset online and it appeared to work fine at first. Then one day it would not record, yet the day after, it recorded fine. Then it stopped again. Thinking it may be a loose wire somewhere, I bought a new headset yesterday, came home and it worked fine. Relief all round. But this morning, it has stopped working and wont record my voice! How can this happen? If it works one day, it should work the next, shouldn't it? I have tried everything to sort this out, its really driving me crazy and holding back my course work. Anyone got any flashes of inspiration? Not too techy please, I don't speak that language!

Sounds like your dodgy connection is in the recording equipment. Maybe the socket ? Get a tech savvy friend to open it up and look.

Seems odd that both headsets should present the same problem. Also, I don't have a savvy friend! I have to pay for all my help.
