I've developed a rather unfortunate Amazon addiction that has recently been spurred on by the fact that I realised you could get really cheap ccomputer games an software that was a bit out of date. As I've only just acquired a PC for the first time, it didn't bother me that the games I was buying was a bit out of date and I've been able to pick up some really good stuff for only a couple of quid a time.

Now I want to turn the computer into a wealth of knowledge and cool software. I found a copy of Encarta Delux 2002 for 4, and AA routefinder 2004 for 3, and need more. Can anyone think of any really cool software that i can pick up for next to nothing. Although it has to be XP compatible I really don't mind if it's a few years out of date.

Be carefull - a lot of software written for Windows 98 wont work on XP!
ALSO be careful that the software is legit!

There are a lot of pirate versions of things on ebay.

However it is usually fairly obvious to tell. Just use your common sense in conjunction with ebay software.
