I went for a CT scan today. My iPhone was charged and fine when I went in for the scan and left it with my coat on a chair a short distance from the scanner. Afterwards the battery was flat and now I can't persuade it hold or even take a charge properly. A CT scanner generates a pretty powerful electro-magnetic field, I believe. Could the scanner be responsible for the effect? If so, how?
Best answer because that link is helpful in such circumstances. As it turned out, after refusing to charge at all , the phone changed its electronic mind and after a few attempts did charge. Odd. It hasn't died after two hours so far.
