Internet Explorer Not Working

Morning, my son bought an Asus laptop last week and when he switched it on this morning and went onto Internet explorer it keeps coming up with a message saying ' internet explorer not responding' any suggestions as to how to resolve would be gratefully received thanks. He is connected to the internet via a wireless connection. Thanks.

1st test. Do you have other devices which can connect to your wifi and are they working?

Yes, typing this on iPad using same wifi.

Test 2. Is your wifi connection showing up as being available in internet explorer settings?

On the lap top, of course.

If you right click the internet symbol you will see various options. Might be 'connect' or 'properties' (sorry no access to desktop at mo). Try clicking these.

Thank you for your help, ended up calling tesco helpline (purchased from there) and they were very helpful. Ended up needing a refresh (I think thats what it was called) which sorted the problem and made for a happy son :-) .
