If I open the YouTube app on my nexus,I get a message ( over the screen)-"watch videos on your TV". What does this mean?...if the TV is on when I see this,do all videos play on it...what if I am watching a program?

Sounds like an advert for some add on to enable you to watch YT videos on your TV.
