How Do I Type A Half On A Computer.

Very sad I know, but I wanted to write a half and didn't have a clue how to do it. Can anyone help please.

in Word, when you hit space bar it will automatically shrink it into the fraction

There will be a keyboard shortcut (Mamyalynne will know it ) but I just do these in Word and paste in

If you have a number pad

Hold down - alt and press 171 at the same time

Check that the Number Lock is on. (It usually is by default). Hold down the Alt key. Type 171 on the numeric keypad, NOT on the numbered keys at the top of your keyboard. Release the Alt key.

If you're using a computer without a numeric keypad (such as a laptop), look for the numbers in colour on lettered keys and access them by holding down the Fn key (as well as the Alt key).
