I would like to get an old 1950's cine film of my parents wedding put onto a DVD but there are so many companies that have come up when I google it!

Can anyone recommend one please?

Yes, Colin Preston at Cine 2DVD; http://www.cinefilm2dvd.com/ did a fab job with all my late fathers films - he does proper frame scans - I'd highly recommended him.
